Professor Joost Daalder’s specialist period of research is the English Renaissance, but his scholarly interests also encompass a wide range of major literary texts. Professor Daalder has published prolifically since the late 1960s; his extensive research papers and reviews cover such Renaissance authors as Shakespeare, Dekker, Middleton and Wyatt, as well as modern writers, including R.A.K. Mason, D.H. Lawrence, Oscar Wilde and Charles Brasch. Although recently retired, Professor Daalder has been a valued part of the Flinders University staff since 1976.
