This article examines the ways in which residents in stigmatised suburbs and housing actively resist and challenge the negative image ascribed to them and concludes by considering the public policy implications that come from the research.Item Coasts(CSIRO, 2008) Smith, Tim; Lazarow, Neil; Clarke, Beverley DawnItem Community engagement for student learning in geography(2008) Hay, Iain Mill; Chalkley, Brian; Le Heron, Erena; Trafford, Julie; Bednarz, Sarah Witham; Fletcher, Stephen; Mohan, AudreyItem Community Participation as a Driver for Sustainable Environmental Management in Vietnam: A Case Study of Urban Household Solid Waste(2007) Pearce, Meryl Winsome; Benger, Simon Nicholas; Vo, Van PhongItem Cultural differences in the understanding of water resource systems in Nepabunna Aboriginal community(Department of Geography, University of the Aegean, Greece, 2008) Pearce, Meryl Winsome; Willis, Eileen Mary; McCarthy, Carmel MarieItem Culture and Development(Hodder Education, 2008) Schech, Susanne Barbara; Haggis, JaneItem 'Danger lurks around every corner': fear of crime and its impact on opportunities for Social interaction in stigmatised Australian suburbs(2005) Ziersch, Anna Marie; Palmer, Catherine; Arthurson, Kathy; Baum, FranItem Developing a workable model of housing need: Applying geographical concepts and techniques to a problem of public policy(2007) Baker, Emma Louise; Beer, Andrew PhilipItem Developing Australia's Regions: Theory and Practice(University of New South Wales Press, 2003) Pritchard,; Maude, Alaric Mervyn; Beer, Andrew PhilipItem Development, landuse change and rural resettlement capacity: a case study of the Three Gorges Project, China(2005) Tan, Yan; Brayn, Brett; Hugo, GraemeItem Ecological Imperialism(SAGE Publications, Inc, 2007) Hay, Iain Mill; Compas, Eric DavidItem Formal vs informal participatory EIA methods: a South Australian Case Study(International Association for Impact Assessment, 2008) Clarke, Beverley Dawn; Harvey, NickItem Gavin Menzies' cartographic fiction : the case of the Chinese 'discovery' of Australia(2004) Richardson, W A RItem Geography at Flinders University 1966-2003(2004) Maude, Alaric MervynItem Geography in South Australian Universities: Future Prospects(2004) Forster, Clive Alexander; Harvey, Nick
