Abstract
Please note: this article is in Greek. Today it is generally accepted that the old distinction "what is not prose is verse; and what is not verse is prose" is not fully valid. Furthermore, it has been argued that various genres tend to coincide. It is argued in this article that in both C. Ioannou's and M. Chackas's prose the poetic style lends the text lyricism, brevity and poetic language.
